BioSeries: Death Note
Character's Personality: Misa tends to act a little dumber than she actually is. She lets herself get completely caught up in a one-sided, obsessive love, and for that she'll do anything. Occasionally she'll let her feelings get in the way of her logic, and will make stupid mistakes as a result, but in general she is a smart girl who can use her brain to help the one she loves reach his ultimate goal.
Character's History: Misa's parents were killed right in front of her eyes by a robber, and after multiple trials due to lack of evidence, it seemed like the criminal would end up being released... Until Kira wrote his name in the Death Note.
After that, she learned about Kira and met a Shinigami named Rem. Rem was devoted to her for his own reasons, perhaps a love inherited from another Shinigami, whose Death Note she gave to Misa to use of her own free will. Misa decided to use this Death Note to help Kira, since she thinks of him as her savior for unknowingly avenging her parents.
She was very sneaky in catching Kira, and was willing to give up a lot in order to find him and keep him as her boyfriend. She gave up half of her life to get the Shinigami Eyes, was willing to kill her own friends if he wanted her to, and let him manipulate her however he wanted just so long as she could call herself 'his'. Her being a famous actress and model was actually very helpful in letting Raito move around freely.
She became Kira's tool, and let her love become too strong. Through the battle with L, Mellos, and finally Near, she was his trump card, but he would never return her affections. When he was finally killed at the end of the manga, Misa couldn't tolerate a world without him, and took her own life.
